Troy Stecher Has Surgery, Out Until February
3 years agoDetroit Red Wings defenseman Troy Stecher (wrist) has undergone surgery and is set to be out until the break for the Olympics, which starts in February. The 27-year-old rearguard has already missed three weeks of action. Stecher managed one assist in six outings before getting injured. His role in Detroit has diminished this season, as the former Canuck has averaged only 14:28 of ice time. The team has also announced that depth forward Mitchell Stephens (lower body) will be out at least until the Olympics break as well.
