Triston McKenzie To Throw A Bullpen On Tuesday
2 years agoCleveland Guardians starting pitcher Triston McKenzie (shoulder) is scheduled for a bullpen session on Tuesday at the team's Spring Training facility, according to MLB.com. The right-hander has been out of action since the season began after experiencing a shoulder ailment in late March. McKenzie was placed on the 60-day injured list and can return to the team on May 29. If all goes well on Tuesday, the plan is for the 25-year-old to throw a live bullpen on Thursday, and then he'll likely be ready for a rehab assignment. Fantasy managers can expect to see McKenzie on the mound in early June, assuming there are no setbacks, and should be excited after he posted a 2.96 ERA and 3.59 FIP over 30 starts in 2022.
