Triston Casas Hopes To Return Around July 1
6 months agoBoston Red Sox first baseman Triston Casas (ribs) said on Wednesday that he's hoping to return to the big-league roster from the injured list around July 1. Casas said he's "feeling great" and said he "should be swinging a bat at the end of the week." The 24-year-old left-handed slugger was still experiencing some pain in his ribs when he rotated his core, but it's obviously not serious and he expects to be cleared to start swinging this week. Casas still has a ways to go as he ramps up his baseball activities and eventually starts playing in minor-league rehab game. We'll keep you updated as he checks all the boxes, but in the meantime, he needs to be stashed in all fantasy leagues. When healthy, Casas is the starting first baseman in Boston and has high-end power upside after hitting 24 homers in 132 games in his first full season in 2023.
