1 year agoBoston Red Sox first baseman Triston Casas (shoulder) has been placed on the 10-day injured list on Saturday, according to MLB.com. Bobby Dalbec was recalled in a corresponding move. The Rookie of the Year candidate missed Friday's contest and was scratched from Saturday's lineup with right shoulder soreness. Hours later, the club decided Casas would require an IL stint. The 23-year-old has been an important piece of the Red Sox offense, slashing .263/.367/490 with 24 bombs, 66 runs, and 65 RBI over 132 contests. Casas' timetable should be more clear in the coming days, but fantasy managers can expect to be without him for the rest of 2023.--Spencer Seguin
