Trinity Benson Catching Passes
1 year agoDetroit Lions wide receiver Trinity Benson (knee) was catching passes on a side field during a mandatory minicamp practice last week. Benson played in just one game last year due to a knee injury and finished on Injured Reserve. He didn't see a single target after catching 10 of his 22 targets for 103 yards in eight games (two starts) in his rookie campaign in 2021. It appears that the 26-year-old wideout is making progress for his injury, but it remains to be seen if he'll be ready to participate once training camp begins at the end of July. Benson is buried on the Lions' receiver depth chart behind Amon-Ra St. Brown, Josh Reynolds, Marvin Jones Jr., Kalif Raymond, Maurice Alexander and rookie Antoine Green.
