Treylon Burks Unlikely To Be Ready For Training Camp
2 days agoTennessee Titans wide receiver Treylon Burks (knee) is unlikely to be ready for training camp this summer, A To Z Sports' Buck Reising reports. Burks, who has been a major bust for the Titans since they selected him 18th overall in 2022 out of Arkansas, was placed on Injured Reserve last year on Oct. 19 and eventually had surgery to address damage in his ACL. The 25-year-old didn't have a full tear of his ACL, which is good news, but he still isn't expected to be ready for training camp and also might not be ready for Week 1 of the 2025 regular season. It's more disappointment for the young wideout, who has completely fallen off the fantasy radar at this point, even in dynasty/keeper leagues. Through his first three NFL seasons, Burks has only 53 catches for 699 yards and one touchdown on 92 targets. The Titans added Van Jefferson in free agency, but they'll surely address the position in the upcoming draft as well.

Treylon Burks Could Use A Fresh Start Elsewhere
1 month agoThe move to trade wide receiver A.J. Brown and replace him with Treylon Burks (knee) was one of the worst personnel moves in Tennessee Titans franchise history, and one of the worst in recent NFL memory, and The Athletic's Joe Rexrode thinks the Titans need to stop waiting for Burks to be a factor. Rexrode points out that Burks' 2025 salary cap hit and dead-money number are both $4.6 million if the Titans cut him, and he thinks it's totally worth doing to move on and give Burks a fresh start. The 24-year-old former first-rounder in 2022 has played in only 27 of a possible 51 games due to injuries and also had surgery in 2024 to address damage to his ACL. When Burks has been on the field, he's done very little, catching 53 passes for 699 yards and one touchdown. There's no guarantee that Burks can turn it around with Tennessee or another organization, though, especially coming off his knee injury.

Treylon Burks Out For The Year After ACL Surgery
4 months agoTennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan said that wide receiver Treylon Burks (knee) had surgery on his torn ACL and will miss the rest of the season. Burks has been a bust for the Titans since they selected him 18th overall in 2022 out of Arkansas. The 24-year-old has played in only 27 games (17 starts) in his first three seasons in the NFL and has caught 53 passes on 92 targets for 699 yards and only one touchdown. He had been on Injured Reserve since Oct. 19. Burks wasn't exactly dealing with a full tear of his ACL, so perhaps he will be in play to start the 2025 regular season on time for the Titans. In just five games played in 2024 before his injury, Burks was well off the fantasy radar and had just four receptions for 34 yards and no touchdowns on eight targets. The Titans will continue to use Calvin Ridley, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and Tyler Boyd in three-wide sets.

Titans Expected To Place Treylon Burks On Injured Reserve
5 months agoAccording to sources, the Tennessee Titans are expected to place wide receiver Treylon Burks (knee) on Injured Reserve after he suffered a non-contact knee injury in practice this week. Moving Burks to IR would mean he would not be eligible to play for the next four weeks. The earliest Burks would be eligible to return would be for a Week 11 date against the Minnesota Vikings on Nov. 17. The 24-year-old former 18th overall pick in 2022 out of Arkansas has been a bust for the Titans in two-plus seasons in the NFL. In five games this year, he's caught four of eight targets for 34 yards and no touchdowns and is well off the fantasy radar, especially after his new knee injury. In Burks' absence for the foreseeable future, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, who caught a touchdown in last week's loss to the Colts, should see more run as depth behind Calvin Ridley, DeAndre Hopkins and Tyler Boyd.

Treylon Burks Could Land On Injured Reserve
5 months agoTennessee Titans wide receiver Treylon Burks (knee) has been ruled out ahead of the Week 7 matchup against the Buffalo Bills. Head coach Brian Callahan said Burks is a candidate for the injured reserve. The third-year wideout hurt his knee last week and it appears to be fairly serious. His absence isn't going to make much of an impact to the Titans offense. Burks has hauled in four receptions for 34 yards in five games this season. DeAndre Hopkins, Calvin Ridley, and Tyler Boyd all see a slight uptick with Burks sitting out this weekend. However, they haven't had much fantasy value due to the poor play of quarterback Will Levis.
