Trey Palmer, Jalen McMillan To Compete For No. 3 Job
Trey Palmer had a good rookie season in 2023 considering his draft status and with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin in front of him, but he has far from secured the No. 3 spot in an offensive system that is sure to be 11-personnel heavy in his second season. However, Palmer should be a lock for the active roster out of training camp, as should rookie Jalen McMillan, who the Buccaneers spent a Day 2 pick on in a deep receiver class. Palmer and McMillan are expected to battle for the No. 3 job in training camp this summer. With Godwin expected to move back into the slot in 2024, Palmer may struggle to match his rookie numbers (39 catches, 385 yards, three touchdowns), especially if McMillan impresses.

Trey Palmer Active For Week 14
Trey Palmer (hip), who was listed as questionable on the final Week 14 injury report, is officially active on Sunday to take on the visiting Las Vegas Raiders. Palmer popped up on this week's injury report with a hip ailment and was limited in practice on both Thursday and Friday, but he'll be out there this weekend in a depth role for the Bucs again. The matchup against the two-win Raiders is an enticing one, but we still wouldn't suggest the 23-year-old in starting fantasy lineups because of his lack of involvement in Tampa's offense this year, even after Chris Godwin's (ankle) season-ending injury. The second-year pass-catcher hasn't exceeded three catches for 33 yards in a game this year and has a total of just 10 receptions (18 targets) for 141 yards and one touchdown in 10 games. Palmer remains the WR4 behind Mike Evans, Sterling Shepard and rookie Jalen McMillan.

Trey Palmer Questionable For Week 14
Trey Palmer (hip) is listed as questionable for the Week 14 contest this Sunday against the visiting Las Vegas Raiders. Palmer was added to the injury report on Thursday with a limited practice session, and he was limited once again on Friday. Mike Evans (calf, hamstring) was cleared from his injuries this week and is good to go to play this weekend, so Palmer will likely maintain a limited depth role for Tampa's receiving corps if he's given the green light to play. Even with Chris Godwin (ankle) suffering a season-ending injury midway through the season, Palmer has seen little involvement behind Evans, Sterling Shepard and rookie Jalen McMillan, catching only 10 of his 18 targets for 141 yards and one touchdown in 10 games (three starts) in just his second season in the NFL. Palmer belongs on the waiver wire in most fantasy leagues.

Trey Palmer Added To Week 14 Injury Report
Trey Palmer (hip) was added to the team's Week 14 injury report after putting in a limited practice on Thursday. Palmer's new hip injury could keep him out for Sunday's game against the visiting Las Vegas Raiders, but his practice status on Friday will give us a better indication of his availability this weekend. The 23-year-old has filled a depth role in Tampa's receiving corps all year and hasn't been on the fantasy radar. However, with veteran Mike Evans (calf, hamstring) tending to a pair of injuries and missing both practices so far this week, Tampa's receiving group could be a bit thin against the Raiders. If Evans and Palmer are limited or out, Sterling Shepard would serve as the Bucs' top wideout, while tight end Cade Otton would have high-end TE1 upside. Rookie Jalen McMillan would serve in the WR2 role.

Trey Palmer Avoidable For Week 10
Trey Palmer is an avoidable streaming option ahead of the Week 10 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. The expectation was that Palmer would see increased involvement in the offense with the Bucs banged up at wideout. That hasn't really been the case as Palmer hauled in two of his four targets for 33 yards during last week's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. He only played 49 percent of the offensive snaps and that's with fellow wideout Jalen McMillan (hamstring) sidelined as well. Palmer could be worth a stash in dynasty leagues, but isn't a starting option right now.
