Trey McBride A Week 8 TE2
1 year agoArizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride is in line for an expanded workload when the team faces off against the Baltimore Ravens. This week the team placed veteran starter Zach Ertz on IR (quadriceps), opening the door for McBride to make an impact. Over the past two weeks, McBride has started to become a bit of a check-down option for quarterback Joshua Dobbs, as he's hauled in seven of 11 targets for 91 yards. With Ertz out for the foreseeable future, McBride instantly becomes the Cardinal's No.1 TE, and currently ranks fourth in TPRR (25%) and third in YPRR (2.10) among tight ends. The bad news is that the Week 8 showdown is a brutal one, as the Ravens have allowed the third-fewest receiver yards and the third-lowest yards per reception to tight ends. Despite his potential, the tough matchup makes McBride no more than a TE2.
