However, the game ended on a tough note, with the final pass bouncing off McBride's helmet, resulting in a Los Angeles Rams interception that officially ended the Cardinals' playoff hopes. McBride has had a sensational season and has provided fantasy managers with one of the biggest positional advantages in fantasy football. He is a no-doubt starter in what should be the final week of one of the best tight end seasons in Cardinals history.

Trey McBride reached the end zone through the air for the first time this season in the 13-9 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. McBride had a dominant performance, catching 12 passes for 123 yards and a touchdown. He was the heartbeat of the Cardinals' offense and willed them down the field drive after drive. Unfortunately, McBride couldn't get his head around fast enough on the Cardinals' final offensive play, which resulted in a game-sealing interception for the Rams. McBride was one of the best tight ends in fantasy football this year, and managers should be pleased with his performance this week.

Trey McBride may still be looking for his first receiving touchdown of the season, but he sits at the TE4 on the year in half-PPR formats. In Week 16, he posted his first finish outside of TE1 territory since Week 7. After some strong words about how his team played that week, McBride is sure to bounce back against the Los Angeles Rams who give up an average of 10.5 fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends. He's received around a 25% target share through this season, and there isn't any reason for that to change. Fantasy managers can still consider McBride a must-start, especially in PPR leagues.
