Trey Mancini Serving As DH In Game 3
2 years agoHouston Astros outfielder Trey Mancini is serving as the designated hitter and is batting seventh in Game 3 of the American League Championship Series on Saturday against the New York Yankees and right-hander Gerrit Cole. Mancini hasn't been a favorite of manager Dusty Baker's in the postseason, as he's played in only two games and is hitless in six at-bats with two strikeouts. This will be his first action in the ALCS after hitting just .176/.258/.364 with eight home runs, 22 RBI and 17 runs scored in 51 games after being acquired from the Orioles at the traded deadline. Mancini is just 4-for-18 in his career against the Yankees ace. With Mancini as the DH, Aledmys Diaz will start on the bench on Saturday.
