Trey Mancini Injures Right Hand in Win Over Blue Jays
7 years agoBaltimore Orioles outfielder Trey Mancini injured his right hand in Wednesday night's 5-3 win over Toronto. The injury came in the sixth inning when an inside pitch from Blue Jays reliever John Axford hit Mancini's hand. Mancini stayed in the game and even singled in the at-bat before being replaced by Anthony Santander in the ninth inning. X-rays on his hand came back negative after the game, and even though his right middle finger was wrapped, Mancini said that he's confident he'll play on Friday with the off day Thursday. Check on Mancini's status prior to Friday's game against the Red Sox, as he should be ready to go atop the Orioles lineup.
