Trevor Williams Gets The Win On Wednesday
4 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Trevor Williams picked up his third victory of the season on Wednesday versus the Pittsburgh Pirates. Williams looked sharp and allowed three hits, one run, no walks and seven strikeouts in six innings. Williams had his longest outing of the month and it was tied for his longest outing of the season since his first start of the year. Despite the nice performance, Williams still owns a 5.36 ERA and is best served as a steamer in favorable matchups. Williams will look to keep the momentum going with a matchup against a good San Diego Padres offense on Monday.
