Trevor Story Takes Batting Practice On Tuesday
2 years agoBoston Red Sox second baseman Trevor Story (wrist) took batting practice on the field ahead of the team's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday. This marked the first time he'd taken batting practice since injuring his hand in mid-July. The 29-year-old remains without a timetable for a return. His next step will be facing live pitching. After that, he'll require a rehab assignment. Story has been underwhelming in his first year with the Red Sox. Over 81 games, he's hit .221/.289/.423 while compiling 15 home runs, 10 stolen bases, 58 RBI and 49 runs.
