Trevor Story Slashing Just .167/.250/.357 In July
3 years agoColorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story is one of the hottest names on the trade market. The trade chatter could be distracting the star shortstop right now as he's been struggling at the plate lately. Over 12 games in July, he's slashing just .167/.250/.357 with two home runs, three stolen bases, six RBI and 11 strikeouts. It's been a disappointing year overall for Story, whose current season-long OPS of .743 is a career-low mark. A trade would of course take him away from Coors Field, which is unfortunate, but he may just need a change of scenery to get back on track. Fantasy managers should remain patient and avoid selling low on Story.
