Trevor Story Day-To-Day, Likely To Return Saturday
22 seconds agoBoston Red Sox manager Alex Cora said that shortstop Trevor Story (back) is day-to-day and will most likely return to the Grapefruit League lineup on Saturday against the Atlanta Braves. As a precaution, the Red Sox scratched the oft-injured Story from the spring lineup on Tuesday due to back tightness. The 32-year-old veteran said he's already feeling much better, though, and he should be back on the field this weekend. It makes no sense for Boston to rush him back with two weeks until Opening Day. The two-time All-Star has looked good in spring training with a .458 average (11-for-24) with two home runs, four doubles and six RBI in eight games after missing most of the 2024 season due to a shoulder injury that required surgery. Since joining Boston in 2022, Story has played in a total of 163 games, which makes him a big injury risk in fantasy.
