Trevor Rosenthal Drawing A Lot Of Interest
3 years agoFree-agent relief pitcher Trevor Rosenthal is drawing a lot of interest from teams, according to MLB Network's Jon Heyman. Last year, the 31-year-old underwent thoracic outlet surgery and was forced to miss the entirety of the 2021 season. However, he was effective the last time we saw him in the majors. In 2020 while pitching for the Kansas City Royals and San Diego Padres, he posted a 1.90 ERA and 0.85 WHIP while averaging 14.5 K/9 over 23 2/3 innings. While Heyman didn't specify which teams are most interested in Rosenthal, it's likely that the veteran will wind up competing for a setup role wherever he lands.
