Trevor Rogers Set For Third Rehab Start This Weekend
2 years agoMiami Marlins pitcher Trevor Rogers (back) will make a third rehab start this weekend at Triple-A Jacksonville. He allowed five earned runs on seven hits and zero walks while striking out six over 4 2/3 innings in his previous rehab start. Barring any setbacks, the 24-year-old could rejoin the Marlins rotation next week. He posted a 4-10 record with a 5.85 ERA, 1.60 WHIP, and 83:41 K: BB ratio across 87 ⅔ innings in 2022. Rogers has struggled this season, but fantasy managers with an open IL spot should continue to stash the Marlins right-hander in all league formats after striking out 157 batters with a 2.64 ERA over 133 innings in 2021.
