Trevor Rogers Puts Up Another Quality Start On Tuesday
3 years agoMiami Marlins rookie starting pitcher Trevor Rogers pitched well again on Tuesday, settling for a no-decision in what ended up as a 2-1 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals. Rogers pitched six innings, allowing just one run on three hits and a walk while striking out six. The Cardinals offense had been absolutely demolishing lefty pitchers, but Rogers was able to keep them at bay. The no-decision keeps his record at 7-3, and he'll take a 1.98 ERA into his next start. There's plenty of season to go, but at this point he seems to be running away with the National League Rookie of the Year award.
