Trevor May To Be Shut Down At Least Four Weeks
3 years agoNew York Mets relief pitcher Trevor May (shoulder) has been diagnosed with a stress reaction on the lower portion of his humerus bone. The 32-year-old will be shut down for at least four weeks, according to Mets beat writer Anthony DiComo. May had been struggling immensely this year. Prior to receiving an MRI on Wednesday, he told reporters that he didn't feel 100 percent healthy. Over 8.1 innings this season, May has an 8.64 ERA and a 1.92 WHIP. While we don't know his official timeline as of now, we know that he will at least be out until mid-to-late June based on him being shut down for at least a month.
