Trevor May Records First Save
1 year agoOakland Athletics relief pitcher Trevor May was called upon to shut the door versus the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday. At first, it wasn't a save situation, but Ken Waldichuk got into some trouble in the ninth. May was asked to come in with two on and a run already in, making it a save situation. He gave up a single to the first batter he faced, but settled down after that. May got the next two batters out, which resulted in his first save of the season. He's allowed one run over his 7 2/3 innings of work so far this season. He appears to be the clear favorite for saves in Oakland.
