Trevor May Records Eighth Hold
3 years agoNew York Mets relief pitcher Trevor May recorded his eighth hold of the year Friday night, throwing a clean inning with two strikeouts against the Toronto Blue Jays in a 3-0 victory. May has given up earned runs in just one of his last 15 games, with a 1.23 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, and 21 strikeouts in 14 2/3 innings in that span. Closer Edwin Diaz has faltered of late, and May would be the main beneficiary should a change eventually be made, but that does not appear imminent. For now, he's only a fantasy option in leagues that reward holds.
