Trevor May Keeps Rolling Thursday
1 year agoOakland Athletics closer Trevor May picked up his 21st save of the season in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Minnesota Twins. May didn't allow a baserunner and struck out one in his inning of work. The veteran reliever is on a very nice run since June, picking up all 21 of his saves while allowing only 11 runs (eight earned) in 34 ⅔ IP (2.08 ERA). With May not under contract for 2024, his fantasy value remains up in the air. Should he return to Oakland, he would likely not have much competition for the closer role, meaning he would be draftable as a low-end reliever.
