Trevor May Diagnosed With Low-Grade Triceps Strain
3 years agoNew York Mets relief pitcher Trevor May (triceps) underwent an MRI on Tuesday. According to the reliever himself, the MRI showed a "very, very low-grade triceps strain." May stated that he is day-to-day at this point and that a stint on the injured list hasn't been discussed. May was removed from Monday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies when the injury first flared up. He's made two appearances so far this year, pitching two innings while allowing four hits, one walk and two earned runs. Seth Lugo and Adam Ottavino are the team's primary setup men in front of closer Edwin Diaz, but May should still be utilized quite a bit as another setup option.
