Trevor May Converts His 18th Save Wednesday
1 year agoOakland Athletics right-hander Trevor May was asked to pitch the ninth inning of the 5-2 win against the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday. He allowed one hit, but that was all as he earned his 18th save of the season. May now owns a 3.89 ERA (5.27 FIP), 1.50 WHIP, 18.6% strikeout rate, and 15.8% walk rate through 42 games this season. The 33-year-old might lead the A's bullpen, but those are hard numbers to roster in standard 12-team formats, even with his occasional save. Fantasy managers can likely find better relief help on the waiver wire.
