Trevor Lawrence Will Enter 2021 Draft
4 years agoClemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence announced his intention to forego his remaining eligibility and enter the 2021 NFL draft as an underclassman. Clemson lost to Ohio State in the college semifinal on Jan. 1, only Lawrence's second loss in his career -- the other against last year's first overall pick Joe Burrow and his LSU team in last year's national championship game. The 6-foot-6, 220-pounder is widely considered the nation's top quarterback prospect and is expected to land with the Jaguars with next year's first overall selection. He has a rare blend of accuracy, size, athleticism and arm strength and finished his college career with a touchdown-to-interception ratio of 90:17. Lawrence has been compared to Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson. He'll be the first overall pick in dynasty drafts and could have some low-end QB1/high-end QB2 fantasy appeal in redraft leagues in his rookie season, much like Burrow did this year before his injury.
