Trevor Lawrence Throws For Two Touchdowns In Week 1 Victory
1 year agoJacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence went 24-for-32 for 241 passing yards, two touchdowns and added 21 rushing yards in Sunday's 31-21 win against the Colts. The third-year QB looked a little rusty to start the season but still finished with a respectable 17.7 fantasy points. The big story of the day for the Jags was the quarterback's connection with newly added wide receiver Calvin Ridley, whom Lawrence hooked up with eight times for 101 yards and a touchdown. The two exemplified exactly what fantasy managers are looking for out of their QB - WR1 combo and should expect that to continue throughout the season. While it wasn't a stellar performance for the former No. 1 overall pick, he was able to lead two clutch touchdown drives in the fourth quarter to give the Jags the victory. Fantasy managers should already be looking forward to next week when the Jaguars host Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in an AFC Divisional round rematch from last season.
