Trevor Lawrence Respectable In Win Vs. Saints
1 year agoJacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence completed 20 of 29 passes for 209 yards and a touchdown in a win against the Saints on Thursday night. Lawrence was highly questionable heading into the game but ended up giving it a go after feeling good enough in pregame warmups. The knee was clearly not bothering him too much, because Lawrence was also the Jaguars leading rusher on the night, turning eight carries into 59 yards. While it wasn't a superb passing performance for the former No. 1 overall pick, Lawrence still managed to put up his best fantasy output of the season so far with 18 points. The Jaguars offense stalled big time in the second half, but Lawrence was able to will his team to victory with his legs and a short pass to Christian Kirk who took the ball 44 yards to the house deep in the fourth. Up next is a Week 8 road matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers beatable secondary.
