Trevor Ariza To Sign With Kings
5 years agoSmall forward Trevor Ariza has reportedly agreed to a two-year deal with the Sacramento Kings, a surprising move for the veteran forward. The Kings already re-signed Harrison Barnes, so it’s unclear how Ariza fits with the team. He’ll likely come off the bench, and as a 34-year-old veteran on a fairly young team, Ariza’s impact is likely to show up more in the locker room than on the basketball court. Expect something like 10 points and five rebounds per game, numbers that won’t win anyone’s fantasy leagues but should be consistent enough to find him a spot on the back-end of fantasy rosters. This isn’t the best move for Ariza’s value, and he’s likely nearing the point in his career when his production starts to take a major dive, but for now, he’s a fine option.
