Trea Turner Sidelined With Swollen Finger
3 years agoWashington Nationals shortstop Trea Turner (finger) couldn't get the swelling in his finger to go down and may miss a few games. According to manager Dave Martinez, Turner could play in a couple of days when the swelling goes down. The 28-year-old was out of the lineup for Thursday's contest against the Dodgers and is considered day-to-day. Turner is slashing .318/.367/.513 with 14 homers, 38 RBI, 50 runs scored, and 18 stolen bases across 341 plate appearances in 2021. Fantasy managers can expect to be without the Nationals shortstop for the next few games. Starlin Castro will handle shortstop duties while Turner is sidelined and is a speculative add in deep-league formats. He went 1-for-2 with an RBI in Thursday's contest against the Dodgers.
