Trea Turner, Phillies In Agreement On A Contract
2 years agoAccording to a tweet from ESPN's Jeff Passan on Monday morning, the Philadelphia Phillies are reportedly "in agreement on a contract" with free-agent shortstop Trea Turner. Kiley McDaniel reported that the deal is for 11 years and $300 million and includes a full no-trade clause. The 29-year-old hit .298 last season in 708 plate appearances for the Los Angeles Dodgers while also logging a .343 on-base percentage, 21 home runs and 27 stolen bases. One of fantasy baseball's elite options, both in general and at the shortstop position, Turner also turned in 100 or more runs and RBI with 101 runs scored and 100 RBI this past season.
