Trea Turner On A Six-Game Hitting Streak
4 years agoWashington Nationals shortstop Trea Turner is off to a great start in September. He's recorded hits in six straight games, including two home runs. On the year, Turner is slashing .362/.413/.626 with nine home runs, five stolen bases and 34 runs. He's certainly returning significant value in rotisserie and head-to-head categories leagues for anyone who invested a high price to draft him. He's made some great strides across the board this year. His strikeout rate is down from 19.7% last year to 14.5% this year and his barrel rate is up from 6.8% last year to 8% this year. His stolen bases are significantly lower than you'd like to see, but don't rule out a strong finish on the base paths for the Nationals star.
