Trea Turner Breaks Out of Mini Slump on Tuesday
6 years agoWashington Nationals shortstop Trea Turner helped set the table in a win over the Atlanta Braves in the first game of a doubleheader on Tuesday. Turner went 3-for-5 with an RBI out of the leadoff spot. He also stole his 31st bag of the year. Turner was stuck in an 0-for-9 mini slump before Tuesday afternoon's game. If Washington is to stay in competition for the National League East, Turner will need to continue getting on base at a high clip like he did in the Nats' win over their divisional foe.
