Travis Zajac Retires From NHL After 15 Seasons
3 years agoTravis Zajac announced his retirement from the NHL on Monday following a 15-year career. The 36-year-old spent nearly his entire career with the New Jersey Devils, playing 1,024 games with the franchise prior to getting dealt to the New York Islanders at the trade deadline last season. Zajac spent the majority of his career as a respectable top-six center, valued as a player who was productive at both ends of the rink. The Winnipeg native posted 550 points (202 goals, 348 assists) and 148 power-play points to go along with a 53.8% career face-off percentage in 1,037 games played.
