Travis Wood Undergoing X-Rays
7 years agoDetroit Tigers pitcher Travis Wood (finger) is undergoing X-rays on his broken right index finger Friday, and he may get his splint off if it has healed properly. Wood will be a swingman for a rebuilding Tigers team, and he should have plenty of time to heal before the start of the regular season, especially since his finger injury is to his non-throwing hand. The lefty should be avoided in all fantasy leagues after posting an ugly 6.80 ERA, 1.73 WHIP and just 65 strikeouts in 94 innings in 39 outings (14 starts) with the Royals and Padres last year.
