Travis Swaggerty Designated For Assignment
1 year agoPittsburgh Pirates outfielder Travis Swaggerty has been designated for assignment as part of a flurry of roster moves made by the club on Monday. The 25-year-old has yet to appear in the big leagues this season as he's spent much of his 2023 season at Triple-A, although his season has been dramatically cut short due to an undisclosed injury. Swaggerty has appeared in 17 Triple-A contests, scuffling to a .200 average with one homer, three stolen bases, and a .289 wOBA across 72 trips to the plate. He went 1-for-9 in five appearances with the Pirates last season while hitting .254 with nine homers and 20 stolen bases across 107 games at Double-A a season ago.
