Travis Lakins Sr. Exits Tuesday’s Start Early
3 years agoBaltimore Orioles pitcher Travis Lakins Sr. exited Tuesday's start against the Astros with an apparent injury. The 27-year-old was removed in the second inning after a mound visit with the trainer and was replaced by Adam Plutko. He allowed one run on one hit and three walks while striking out none across one 1/3 innings before exiting. The severity of his injury is unknown at this time and he's considered day-to-day. Lakins owns a 5.79 ERA, 1.43 WHIP, and 24 strikeouts across 28 innings in 2021. An update on Lakins should be provided by the Orioles after the game. Stay tuned.
