4 years agoPhiladelphia Flyers forward Travis Konecny registered his first career hat trick and added an assist as his team rolled over the Pittsburgh Penguins 5-2 on Friday night. The energetic winger did an incredible amount of damage in just 14:37 of ice time, also recording a plus-three rating, three shots and a power-play point. Fresh off a career-best 61-point (24 goals, 37 assists) season in 2019-2020, the 23-year-old is looking to take his game to another level in his fifth full NHL campaign. Playing a big role on an offensively electrifying Flyers team, Konecny has a strong chance to eclipse the point-per-game mark for the first time in his young career in 2020-2021. He'll look to keep building momentum against the Sabres on Monday.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller

Konecny scored the eventual game-winner in the first period on the backhand shot, with the assists coming from Sean Couturier and Rasmus Ristolainen. 4 months agoPhiladelphia Flyers winger Travis Konecny took his point streak to seven games with an assist in Monday's 3-2 loss to Colorado. Konecny's work helped Owen Tippett to spark a late comeback effort after Philadelphia had fallen 3-0 behind. The seven-game run matches Konecny's second-longest point streak of his career. His best-ever scoring streak stands at 10 games. He can match it this week if he stays productive against Carolina, Chicago, and Vegas. Konecny is once again leading the Flyers in scoring with 23 points (11 goals, 12 assists) in 19 games. The 27-year-old is part of a 12-player group in the league that has registered double digits in both goals and assists.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
