Travis Jankowski Optioned To Minors
16 seconds agoChicago Cubs outfielder Travis Jankowski was part of a handful of cuts made on Sunday. The veteran outfielder has been reassigned to minor-league camp as the Cubs continue to trim down their roster. He joined the team as a non-roster invitee, but it doesn't appear he has impressed enough to remain with the big league club. Last season, Jankowski slashed .200/.266/.242 with 12 RBI and 11 stolen bases across 104 games with the Texas Rangers. It's unclear if Jankowski will remain in the minor leagues with the Cubs or ask for his release, so he can attempt to play elsewhere.
