6 years agoCalgary Flames defenseman Travis Hamonic, who is recovering from a facial fracture suffered on Oct. 3, will remain on Injured Reserve until at least late next week, head coach Bill Peters said on Tuesday. The veteran rearguard was able to skate on Monday, however, as he makes progress in his recovery. He was injured after throwing hands with Vancouver Canucks defenseman Erik Gudbrandson in the regular-season opener. When healthy he is worthy of fantasy consideration for his help in the hits, blocked shots and penalty minutes categories.--Daniel Dobish
