4 years agoAtlanta Hawks guard Trae Young (calf) has been deemed questionable heading into Saturday's matchup against the Raptors. The third-year man out of Oklahoma wasn't in the lineup on Thursday night against the Jazz and may be forced to miss his second-straight while working his way back from the injury. If he is indeed absent against Toronto, look for Rajon Rondo to fill in at the one. The veteran went 0-for-7 from the field while filling in against Utah but still managed to salvage the night by dishing out eight assists and pulling down six boards. Rondo should be on the DFS radar due to his low rostering cost and could potentially smash his value if he can get some of his shots to fall.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

1 day agoAtlanta Hawks guard Trae Young (Achilles) will play on Sunday against the Bucks. The Achilles issue has plagued him nearly the entire year. However, he hasn't missed a game in weeks, so fantasy managers weren't concerned about his availability for this one. Young has averaged 26.0 points, 9.3 assists, and 4.0 rebounds in four meetings with Milwaukee this season. Unfortunately, he's shot a rough 21.4% from deep during those contests.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

4 days agoAtlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young (Achilles) has received the green light to play in Thursday's matchup against the Miami Heat. The team has upgraded his status from probable to available, clearing the way for Young to make his eighth consecutive appearance. Over the last seven games, Young has produced five double-doubles. He keeps the Hawks' offense ticking each night, although Young's shooting performances have been somewhat inconsistent. He has particularly struggled against the Heat, nailing only 28.2 percent of his shots to average 13.0 points and 12.3 assists in the matchup this season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

5 days agoAtlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young (Achilles) is probable for Thursday's tilt against the Miami Heat. He will likely be good to go for an eighth consecutive game despite dealing with tendinitis in his right Achilles tendon. This has been a nagging issue for Young throughout the season, but he has put together a strong campaign, averaging a big double-double with 24.1 points and 11.4 assists. Young has had four steaks of at least four consecutive double-doubles and could post a fifth in Thursday's game.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

1 week agoAtlanta Hawks guard Trae Young (Achilles) is good to go for Saturday's meeting with the Warriors. The former Oklahoma Sooner was listed as probable heading into this contest. But that's nothing new, considering he's played through Achilles tendinitis for nearly the entire 2024-25 campaign. Young struggled versus Golden State when these clubs met back in November, amassing only 12 points and shooting 1-for-6 from behind the arc. Still, it's logical to assume he'll be much more productive, especially with so many injuries on the roster.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
