Trae Young Posts 31 Points In Losing Effort
4 years agoAtlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young scored a game-high 31 points in Monday's loss to the Knicks, shooting 9-for-22 from the field and 1-for-6 from outside. It wasn't an efficient performance by Young, but 12 made free throws helped him record his fourth 30-point game of the season. Young also notched his third double-double of the season with 14 assists, but his line included a season-high eight turnovers. De'Andre Hunter had a superb outing with 23 points on 9-for-15 shooting, and Clint Capela produced his third straight double-double with a 12-point, 12-rebound effort. The Hawks now face Charlotte in the next couple of games, which will be a great matchup for the bigs and a decent one for guards as well. The Hornets are giving up 24.5 points per 48 minutes to the point guard position and only 10 teams have done worse.
