Trae Young Gets 30 Points Despite Bad Shooting Night
5 years agoAtlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young shot a measly 9-for-28 from the field on Thursday, but he still ended up with 30 points in a 111-106 loss to Utah. He added eight assists, five rebounds and one steal to his line that also included two turnovers. Young, who was 3-for-11 from deep, is averaging 28.2 points for the month, but the team has now lost six games in a row. The Hawks have another tough matchup on Saturday against Brooklyn, but it's a favorable one for Young personally, as the Nets are giving up a league-high 27.1 points per 48 minutes to point guards this season. Young recorded a 39-point performance against them in the first meeting of the season on Dec. 4.
