Tra Carson A Risky Week 9 Start
5 years agoDetroit Lions running back Tra Carson led the Lions backfield in touches just one week after being claimed off of waivers and will look to establish himself in Week 9 in a matchup against the Oakland Raiders. Carson totaled 34 yards while backfield mate Ty Johnson put up just 25 yards on seven touches in Week 8, with neither back really ever able to seize control. The Raiders run defense is a very solid unit but their secondary is one of the worst in the league, so Carson's work may be limited in this one as Stafford may opt to air it out more often. Carson may be a viable option for fantasy owners in deeper leagues, but until this backfield picture gets clearer he should largely be avoided.
