Torrey Smith Retires
5 years agoFree-agent wide receiver Torrey Smith announced his retirement on Friday, wrapping up a career that included 5,141 yards and two Super Bowl titles. A prestigious deep threat during his career, Smith entered 2019 ranked third in yards per catch (16.1) among active wideouts behind DeSean Jackson (17.4) and Josh Gordon (17.3). The 30-year-old played eight seasons with the Ravens, 49ers, Eagles and Panthers. The 2011 second-round pick of Baltimore had his best season in 2013, finishing with 65 catches for 1,128 yards and four touchdowns.
