The Boston Bruins have been playing without defenseman Charlie McAvoy or forward Patrice Bergeron and took more casualties while making their run at the postseason. During the final frame of the comeback win against the Carolina Hurricanes, the Bruins lost defensemen Torey Krug and Zdeno Chara as well as forward Jake Debrusk to injury. Chara appeared to fall awkwardly into the boards and left the ice shortly thereafter, while Debrusk was on the receiving end of a big hit earlier in the game but attempted to play through the pain before leaving the match as well. The reason for Krug’s injury is not as apparent, and Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy didn’t have an update on the players' statuses following the game. All three players did receive X-rays at PNC Arena before the Bruins returned to Boston. Keep an eye open for updates on the Bruins injuries as they practice ahead of their Thursday night match against the Florida Panthers.--Alex McKenzie
