Tony Pollard Set For A Bigger Role In Week 1
2 years agoDallas Cowboys running back Tony Pollard is a solid option in Week 1 lineups against the Tampa Bay Bucs. Pollard has outright league-winning upside if Ezekiel Elliott misses time, but Pollard is supposed to be in much more of a 1A/1B situation with Elliott this season as opposed to his previous backup/pass catching role. Pollard was excellent when given the ball last season, finishing fourth in the NFL in yards per attempt after contact and first in yards per route run among all running backs. While he may have a lower floor than some other running backs because of the timeshare with Elliott, Pollard also has an extremely high ceiling that could be on display in Week 1.
