Tony Pollard Not A Safe Option For Week 1
3 years agoDallas Cowboys running back Tony Pollard is not a great choice for any Week 1 fantasy lineups. Ezekiel Elliott will start and is expected to get most of the work in the Dallas backfield, leaving Pollard around for change-of-pace duties and perhaps occasional third downs. With the Cowboys opening the season against the Tampa Bay Bucs, who had the second best defense against opposing running backs last season, Pollard is unlikely to snap off a big run or catch as he did a few times last season. Pollard should have some unpredictable big weeks and should certainly be rostered as a backup for Elliott's managers, but his standalone value won't be very high this season if things go as the Cowboys plan.
