2 years agoThe Seattle Seahawks waived running back Tony Jones Jr. on Wednesday. The Seahawks signed defensive tackle Daviyon Nixon in a corresponding move. Jones was claimed off waivers from the Saints by the Seahawks in October. The 25-year-old rushed for 16 yards on eight attempts across four games for the Seahawks in 2022. The Seahawks waived Jones despite DeeJay Dallas (ankle) and Kenneth Walker III (ankle) dealing with injuries, while Travis Homer is currently Seattle's only healthy running back.
