Tony Jones Jr. Not Worth Starting At The Moment
3 years agoNew Orleans Saints running back Tony Jones Jr. impressed in his Week 1 debut, handling 12 touches against the Packers. Jones gets a good matchup against the Panthers, who yielded the eighth-most fantasy points per game to halfbacks last year. While the rookie back appears to have inherited a Latavius Murray-like role behind Alvin Kamara, the latter figures to handle the vast majority of touches, including ones at the goal-line, meaning Jones isn't quite in flex territory just yet. He is certainly worth stashing in the event of an injury, as New Orleans appears to be comfortable with him as the sole backup to Kamara.
