Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Tony Gonsolin (back) will be activated from the 15-day injured list this week and is expected to make his first start of the season and in 20 month against the Miami Marlins at home on Wednesday, according to manager Dave Roberts. Gonsolin's last start in the big leagues came on Aug. 18 of 2023, when he allowed 10 earned runs in 3 1/3 innings in a loss to the Marlins at Dodger Stadium. He had season-ending Tommy John surgery two weeks later and didn't pitch at all in 2024 as a result. In his four minor-league rehab starts, the 30-year-old veteran went 1-1 with a 3.21 ERA, 16 strikeouts and six walks in 14 innings for Triple-A Oklahoma City. Gonsolin was a first-time All-Star in 2022 when he went 16-1 with a 2.14 ERA and 0.87 WHIP in 24 starts. If he pitches well, he could keep a rotation spot in L.A. with Blake Snell (elbow) on the IL and Tyler Glasnow (shoulder) potentially joining him there.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
